Global Health Students at The Mango Project
The first Global Health students from universities across the US came to learn and study at The Mango Project. The students are studying medicine, nursing, and public health in the US. Students completed course work in "Advanced Issues in Nutrition: Malnutrition & Community Health" while participating in food demonstrations, rural food preservation, and field learning from clinicians and community leaders in rural and refugee populations. Special thanks to The Mango Project staff for hosting the students and staff for two weeks. Thanks also to the Ugandan Ministry of Health District Health Officer, Dr. Alfred Yayi, for providing oversight to national and refugee partnerships.
